SONAMOO's Euijin Confirmed To Have Left TS Entertainment And Signed With New Agency

SONAMOO’s Euijin has left TS Entertainment.

On September 8, SPOTV News reported that SONAMOO’s Euijin, Newsun, and Minjae’s exclusive contracts with TS Entertainment had expired. The media outlet reported that their contracts had originally been set to expire at the end of this year, but that both sides had agreed to amicably end the contracts earlier than planned after a long period of discussions. TS Entertainment has not yet confirmed this report.

However, on September 9, Mellow Entertainment confirmed that they had signed an exclusive contract with Euijin. Euijin will now promote under her full name of Hong Eui Jin. A representative from the agency stated, “We are happy to be working with Hong Eui Jin. We will give her our full support so that she can be active in various fields such as music, acting, and variety. She is working on a solo album, so please look forward to it.”

Mellow Entertainment is a new agency established by Lee Jung Min, who had previously been in charge of managing groups like Wonder Girls, 2PM, 2AM, and miss A at JYP Entertainment. The agency has a joint management contract with TRI.BE, the girl group produced by Shinsadong Tiger and Universal Music.

Euijin took to Instagram to share the following statement:

Hello, this is Euijin. I wanted to greet you with good news, but I’m sorry that this is a little late.

First, I have a lot of regrets about SONAMOO, whom I have spent the past seven years with… but I have decided to say goodbye. In order to overcome these regrets, I will repay everyone with an even better image.

I want to thank our fans once again for trusting in us, watching over us, and cheering us on until now.

I have joined hands with Mellow Entertainment, who has given me a sense of positive energy and respect.

I will be a Hong Eui Jin who works hard to improve and meets the expectations and support of fans. Please take care of me in future. Thank you, I love you.

Back in September 2019, SONAMOO’s Nahyun and Sumin sued to end their contracts with TS Entertainment.
