Ahn Hyo Seop Comforts A Crying Kim Yoo Jung In

SBS’s “Lovers of the Red Sky” has shared an intriguing sneak peek of its upcoming episode!

Based on the novel of the same name, “Lovers of the Red Sky” is a new historical fantasy romance drama starring Kim Yoo Jung as the Joseon dynasty’s only female painter Hong Chun Gi, who was born blind but miraculously regains vision. Ahn Hyo Seop stars as blind astrologer Ha Ram, who is able to read the stars despite losing his sight, while Gong Myung stars as the romantic and free-spirited Prince Yangmyung, a lover of the arts who falls for Hong Chun Gi.

On the previous episode of “Lovers of the Red Sky,” when Hong Chun Gi found herself in a dangerous situation, Ha Ram unexpectedly arrived to save the day. The episode ended with Ha Ram romantically coming to Hong Chun Gi’s rescue as he freed her from the clutches of Jung Swen Nae (played by Yang Hyun Min).

In newly released stills from the drama’s next episode, Ha Ram once again makes a sudden appearance in Hong Chun Gi’s hour of need. Despite not being able to see, Ha Ram finds Hong Chun Gi crying alone in a stable late at night, showing a soft side that contrasts sharply with her usual tough, cheerful disposition.

As Ha Ram attempts to comfort the distressed Hong Chun Gi, viewers are left wondering what could have made the normally resilient painter so upset—and whether Ha Ram will be able to help.

“The reason why Hong Chun Gi, who confidently entered the Maejukheon Painting Contest, is fighting back tears on her own will break viewers’ hearts,” teased the drama’s producers. “Ha Ram will step forward to comfort the crying Hong Chun Gi. Please tune in to the drama to find out what kind of unique comfort Ha Ram will provide.”

The next episode of “Lovers of the Red Sky” will air on September 13 at 10 p.m. KST.
