EXO’s Chanyeol, INFINITE’s Kim Myung Soo, And B.A.P’s Daehyun Cast In Military Musical
The star-studded cast has been announced for the upcoming military musical “Meissa’s Song” (literal title)!
“Meissa’s Song” takes place in two nations with completely different cultures: the fictional country Kamur, where a civil war has continued for a long time, and Korea, where K-pop auditions are being held. The story follows Raman, who was born in and grew up in Kamur as he comes to Korea to look for the dispatched solider Meissa, who gave him dreams and hopes.
EXO’s Chanyeol will be playing Raman, who comes to Korea to participate in a K-pop audition. Raman came in contact with various aspects of Korean culture through the dispatched Gaon troop members of the United Nations (UN) peacekeeping forces, and he is fluent in Korean. As one of the characters who is highlighted in the K-pop audition, Raman will showcase performances with a variety of different concepts.
INFINITE’s Kim Myung Soo and B.A.P’s Daehyun will be taking on the role of Yeon Joon Seok, who goes to Kamur after volunteering to be dispatched following a friend’s suggestion. Yeon Joon Seok has lived without a special dream or goal and only conformed to his parents’ demands, but he experiences a great transformation through his time in Kamur while experiencing a series of events.
Moon Yong Suk will be playing Yoon Seon Ho, who harbors the dream of contributing to world peace and helping people while working for the UN in the future. Yoon Seon Ho suggests to his friend Yeon Joon Seok to be voluntarily dispatched, and they go to Kamur together.
Musical stars Brad Little and Michael Lee will be starring as the commanding officer at the headquarters for the UN peacekeeping forces. Furthermore, a total of 41 actors from the armed forces and ensemble will showcase their talented singing and acting skills in the musical.
“Meissa’s Song” will be streamed online from October 15 to 17.
