Yerin's New Romance Web Drama Begins Filming + Slated To Premiere Next Year

Yerin has begun filming for the new web drama “Sea Village Cloud Resort” (literal title).

“Sea Village Cloud Resort” is about cloud chasers, who each live beneath a different sky, as they meet on Ulleung Island. The healing youth romance drama tells the story that occurs as they organize a Ulleung Island secret tour, portraying a cloud-like romance in the process. The drama stars Yerin as the owner of the sea village cloud resort Goo Reu Mi, Nam Dae Jung as the famous illustrator Kwon Woon, and Kim Jae Won as Cheon Ri Ahn, a college student of the graduating class in the department of atmospheric science.

Goo Reu Mi is a native to Ulleung Island, and she loves the clouds and nature. She’ll begin a love triangle with Kwon Woon and Cheon Ri Ahn when they arrive on the island as they look for the owner of a video camera together.

Kwon Woon is a carefree and famous illustrator who wanders here and there while drawing pictures of clouds. He coincidentally discovers a video camera and goes to visit Ulleung Island in search for the owner. There, he falls in love with Goo Reu Mi at first sight.

Rookie actor Kim Jae Won will be transforming into Cheon Ri Ahn. Before his graduation, Cheon Ri Ahn visits Ulleung Island to compose his anxious feelings and to quietly contemplate his thoughts. He gets involved with Goo Reu Mi and Kwon Woon, and Cheon Ri Ahn gradually falls for Goo Reu Mi’s and Ulleung Island’s charms.

Along with the three main leads, Joo Ha Rin will play Goo Reu Mi’s older sister Goo Rom, who will tell the past stories of the resort.

CEO Park Gyu Wook of The Star E&M, the company in charge of producing the drama, shared, “I feel proud for letting viewers not just in Korea but abroad know of the beauty of Ulleung Island through the web drama.” The CEO added his resolve to produce more drama content in the future that continues to showcase Korea’s tourist spots. Previously, the web drama production company produced “The Cost of Life” (literal title) and “Bio Homme.”

Currently, Yerin is also gearing up to make her acting debut in December through the upcoming web drama “Witch Shop Reopening,” which also stars CIX’s Yonghee. Yerin made her debut in 2015 with GFRIEND and frequently appeared on various variety programs. After the group decided not to renew their contracts with Source Music, Yerin signed with Sublime Artist Agency this past June.

“Sea Village Cloud Resort” will be released via OTT Platforms in the first half of 2022.
