Watch: Kim Go Eun And Ahn Bo Hyun Poke Fun At Each Other Even While Filming Kiss Scene In "Yumi's Cells"

“Yumi’s Cells” has released a making-of video for Episodes 3 and 4!

Based on the hit webtoon of the same name, “Yumi’s Cells” is a new drama about an ordinary office worker named Yumi—told from the point of view of the many brain cells in her head controlling her every thought, feeling, and action. Kim Go Eun plays the titular role of Yumi, an ordinary woman who struggles with expressing her feelings, while Ahn Bo Hyun stars as the straightforwardly honest game developer Goo Woong.

The behind-the-scenes clip starts with Kim Go Eun and Ahn Bo Hyun cracking up over random things and watching the animated version of Yumi’s cells for the very first time.

When filming at night, a staff member explains that the frog noises in the background of their set are real, but Ahn Bo Hyun refuses to believe her. He finally gives in and comments, “[Kim Go Eun] doesn’t know yet. She thinks it’s fake.”

The staff members claim that she knows, so Ahn Bo Hyun sets off to prove them wrong. He tells her the truth and Kim Go Eun angrily responds, “Of course they’re fake! Are you a fool?” He excitedly shows off that she doesn’t know, and Kim Go Eun adds with a laugh, “Is filming a joke to you?”

Meanwhile, making her first appearance in a behind-the-scenes video for the drama is Park Ji Hyun, who plays Goo Woong’s longtime girl best friend Seo Se Yi. She introduces her character by saying, “Within her tricky friendship [with Goo Woong], she’s someone who brings about Yumi’s jealousy.”

She adds, “I have a lot of friends who are fans [of the webtoon] and they always speak so poorly of Se Yi, so I’m a bit worried.” Park Ji Hyun then comments, “The script is so fun and my fellow actors are really fun, so I’m looking forward to the future, and I’d be thankful if you all looked forward to it as well.”

Later, Ahn Bo Hyun is seen transformed after his beard is shaved off. He reveals, “I wanted to shave it, and I never wanted to take off my mask [when I had the beard].”

While rehearsing, Kim Go Eun jokingly gets angry at the director and Ahn Bo Hyun quickly comments, “They’re filming the making-of video.” She adorably acts surprised and cutely comments, “Please edit this out!” The director jokingly adds, “Just hit me once,” as Kim Go Eun shares with Ahn Bo Hyun, “Once, I hit him lightly like this, and he completely fell over.” Everyone pretends to take the director’s side, so Kim Go Eun gives in and shyly asks him, “Director, aren’t you hot? The sun… you should go inside.”

During a final outfit check, the pair dive into rehearsals for their kiss scene. Ahn Bo Hyun shyly asks, “It’s not… passionate?” and both the director and Kim Go Eun immediately shake their heads. Although Kim Go Eun earnestly states that they both shouldn’t laugh, Ahn Bo Hyun continues to crack jokes as he pretends to snap her neck while holding her face.

They start to film, but Kim Go Eun can’t stop laughing as she pokes fun at Ahn Bo Hyun’s awkward movements. Finally, the two perfect the timing and the angle to create a beautiful kiss scene.
