Watch: Ahn Hyo Seop Jokes That He'll Leave Kim Yoo Jung And Go After Gong Myung On "Lovers Of The Red Sky" Set

SBS’s “Lovers of the Red Sky” has released a new behind-the-scenes video!

Based on a novel, “Lovers of the Red Sky” is a historical fantasy romance drama starring Kim Yoo Jung as the Joseon Dynasty’s only female painter Hong Chun Gi, who was born blind but miraculously regains her vision, and Ahn Hyo Seop as the blind astrologer Ha Ram, who is able to read the stars despite losing his sight. Gong Myung takes the role of the romantic and free-spirited Prince Yangmyeong, who is a lover of the arts and all things beautiful.

The clip begins with Kim Yoo Jung and Gong Myung preparing to film the scene where he carries her on her back. They meticulously rehearse the scene, and he playfully touches her forehead and then his before saying, “You really do have a fever.” Kim Yoo Jung can’t help but laugh, and Gong Myung brightly smiles as he crouches down in front of her and says, “Get on my back!”

The two actors continuously go over their lines with the director. Kim Yoo Jung tells Gong Myung, “Stop carrying me. Carry me once we start filming. Your arms are shaking.” He quickly denies it, but he sways as he pretends to grow weak.

Then Ahn Hyo Seop appears on the set for the scene where Ha Ram stops Hong Chun Gi and Prince Yangmyeong from leaving. The director suggests Gong Myung says his line “stay where you are” while holding onto Kim Yoo Jung and looking at Ahn Hyo Seop. Gong Myung agrees and jokingly points at Ahn Hyo Seop as he fiercely demands, “Stay where you are!”

The three actors officially dive into filming, and the atmosphere is serious and romantic as they say their lines. However, once the camera stops filming, Gong Myung and Ahn Hyo Seop hurry to cover Kim Yoo Jung from the rain. Filming continues, and Kim Yoo Jung leaves Gong Myung’s side and treads towards Ahn Hyo Seop. When the cut sign is given, Ahn Hyo Seop playfully walks past Kim Yoo Jung as he says, “Prince Yangmyeong.” Kim Yoo Jung laughs at the plot twist, and Ahn Hyo Seop jokes, “I’m abandoning you.”
