EXO’s Chanyeol, INFINITE’s Kim Myung Soo, B.A.P’s Daehyun, And More Are Hard At Work Rehearsing Upcoming Military Musical
The musical “Meissa’s Song” (literal title) takes place in two nations with completely different cultures: the fictional country Kamur, where a civil war has continued for a long time, and Korea, where K-pop auditions are being held. The story follows Raman, who was born in and raised in Kamur, as he comes to Korea to look for the dispatched solider Meissa, who gave him his dreams and hopes of becoming a K-pop star.
Chanyeol will play Raman, and both Kim Myung Soo and Daehyun will portray Yeon Joon Seok, who goes to Kamur after volunteering to be dispatched following a friend’s suggestion. Actor Moon Yong Suk will play Yeon Joon Seok’s friend Yoon Seon Ho, who dreams of one day working for United Nations (UN) and contributing to world peace. Although this military musical will revolve around soldiers, it will tell a new story by focusing on the power of culture as opposed to weaponry and war.
In the released photos, you can see each actor’s impressive immersion into their characters.
Performances of “Meissa’s Song” will stream online from October 15 to 17.
