Watch: Lee Young Ae Unexpectedly Ignites With Passion As She Investigates A Mysterious Case In New Drama

Upcoming JTBC drama “Inspector Koo” (also known as “Koo Kyung Yi”) has unveiled its first teaser!

“Inspector Koo” is a comedy-mystery drama starring Lee Young Ae as the titular Koo Kyung Yi, a brilliant insurance investigator who used to be a police officer, but became a recluse after the death of her husband. Despite no longer being a police officer, Koo Kyung Yi enjoys solving cold cases for the thrill of it, and she winds up facing off against a female college student who is secretly a serial killer when she begins investigating a mysterious murder case.

The newly released teaser shares a peek of how Koo Kyung Yi goes from being a lazy homebody to an energetic investigator. The video begins with messy Koo Kyung Yi being dragged by Na Je Hee (Kwak Sun Young), who sighs in disbelief.

However, soon, Koo Kyung Yi’s lazy side is gone, and her idleness is replaced with burning passion. Her detective instincts have awakened, and she goes around examining every little thing in detail. A narrator comments, “She’s not crazy. She’s catching the criminal. She’s a detective!”

Towards the end of the clip, Koo Kyung Yi incoherently mutters a few words in her sleep. One young man stares at her in alarm and asks, “Wh-what did you say?” Her two team members answer for her, saying, “I have no idea why he’s on our team.”

“Inspector Koo” will premiere on October 30 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
