On the October 8 episode of Mnet’s “Girls Planet 999,” the contestants carried out their third mission, the Creation Mission.

Unlike the previous mission, the Creation Mission features four original songs, with the members participating in rap making, choreography, and/or song arrangement. The four songs are “U+Me=LOVE,” “Utopia,” “Snake,” and “Shoot!”.

Before the mission started, the contestants had a small fan meeting, where they performed their theme song, “O.O.O,” and held a Q&A segment. The Planet Guardians (the name for the fans of the show) picked which songs they wanted the contestants to perform, and the K Group (Korean contestants) performed “Kick It” by NCT 127, the C Group (Chinese contestants) performed CLC’s “Helicopter,” and the J Group (Japanese contestants) performed BLACKPINK’s “BOOMBAYAH.” The contestants also performed “Ice Cream” and “How You Like That.”

The Creation Mission kicked off with the “Shoot!” team, which named themselves POP! CORN. The team members were Chen Hsin Wei, Choi Yu Jin, Guinn Myah, Huening Bahiyyih, Ikema Ruan, Kishida Ririka, and Nagai Manami.

The second team to perform was “Utopia,” whose team name was Unicorn. The members were Kang Ye Seo, Kawaguchi Yurina, Kim Bo Ra, Kim Chae Hyun, and Huang Xing Qiao.

The third team to perform was “U+Me=LOVE,” whose team name was 7 LOVE Minutes. The members were Kamimoto Kotone, Kim Su Yeon, May, Nonaka Shana, Sakamoto Mashiro, Seo Young Eun, and Zhou Xin Yu.

Last to perform was the “Snake” team, which called themselves Medusa. The members consisted of Cai Bing, Ezaki Hikaru, Fu Ya Ning, Kim Da Yeon, Shen Xiao Ting, Su Rui Qi, and Wen Zhe.

The winners of the Creation Mission were the 7 LOVE Minutes (“U+Me=LOVE”) team with a score of 94.17 out of 100.

The next mission will be the “O.O.O” mission, where the song “O.O.O” is rearranged into a debut version. The contestants will be divided into three teams to perform the new version. However, next week is also the third elimination round. Only contestants ranked from No. 1 to No. 17 will survive, and only one Planet Pass (the chance to save an eliminated contestant) will be given out.
