LOONA's Chuu Says She Liked Kim Lip So Much When They Were Kids That She "Would Follow Her Around"

In a recent interview and pictorial for Esquire magazine, LOONA’s Chuu and Kim Lip talked about their longtime friendship!

After posing for the magazine in a number of stylishly striking fits, the two bandmates remarked, “We’re happy to be shooting our first pictorial together [with just the two of us]. We’re also excited to be able to show our fans a new concept that we haven’t experienced before [through this pictorial].”

Chuu and Kim Lip went on to mention that they’ve been friends ever since school and spent their trainee days together before their debut.

During their post-shoot interview, Chuu revealed with a shy smile, “Ever since I was young, I liked Lip so much that I would follow her around.” Kim Lip affectionately responded, “Chuu expresses her [love] a lot, and I feel apologetic because I don’t think I’m able to reciprocate fully.”

The two friends also touched on the downsides of living with your best friend, pointing out, “When best friends live together, there are a lot of aspects that are great, but there are also things that are uncomfortable.”

They went on to explain, “We know each other too well, so even if we want to hide that we’re going through a rough time, we can’t hide it [from one another]. Even if we don’t say anything, we know everything about each other.”
