"Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" Heads Into Finale On Its Highest Saturday Ratings Yet
tvN’s “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” is heading into its series finale on a high note!
With just one episode left in its run, the romantic comedy starring Kim Seon Ho and Shin Min Ah remains as popular as ever. According to Nielsen Korea, the penultimate episode of “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” scored an average nationwide rating of 10.3 percent on October 16, marking the highest viewership ratings the drama has ever achieved on a Saturday.
“Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” also took first place in its time slot across all channels—including public broadcast networks—among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, with whom it scored a nationwide average of 5.2 percent.
Meanwhile, SBS’s “One the Woman” not only remained first place in its own time slot, but also managed to continue its perfect eight-episode streak as the most-watched miniseries of the entire week. The latest episode of the hit comedy starring Honey Lee and Lee Sang Yoon earned an average nationwide rating of 13.3 percent.
“One the Woman” was also the most-watched program of any kind to air on Saturday among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, with whom it scored an average rating of 6.0 percent.
MBC’s “The Veil,” which airs in the same time slot as “One the Woman,” earned an average nationwide rating of 7.6 percent for its latest episode.
After reaching a new all-time high with its previous episode, “Yumi’s Cells” dipped slightly to an average nationwide rating of 2.3 percent, while “Lost” scored an average nationwide rating of 1.7 percent.
Finally, KBS 2TV’s new drama “Young Lady and Gentleman” continued its reign as the most-watched program to air on any channel on Saturday with an average nationwide rating of 26.3 percent. The drama also performed well with the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, among whom it earned an average rating of 5.1 percent for the night.
