aespa's "Savage" Takes No. 1; Soompi's K-Pop Music Chart 2021, October Week 3

aespa scores their first ever No. 1 song on our chart this week with “Savage,” debuting all the way on top of the chart! aespa debuted late last year, gaining much hype with their first two singles “Black Mamba” and “Next Level.” Now, “Savage” becomes their first song to top the Soompi Music Chart. The song has also won four music shows so far. Congratulations to aespa!

“Savage” is the title song from aespa’s first mini album of the same name. It is a trap dance song that follows aespa’s unique storyline and tells the story of how aespa and their avatars “ae” receive the help of “naevis” and head out to “KWANGYA” to fight the villain Black Mamba.

Last week’s champion, ITZY’s “LOCO,” moves down one spot to No. 2 this week. Rounding out the all-girl group top three this week is Red Velvet’s former chart topping hit “Queendom,” moving back up one spot to No. 3.
