Ong Seong Wu Shares His Thoughts About His Upcoming Heartwarming Drama Starring Park Ho San
Ong Seong Wu looks stunning in his new pictorial for the November issue of Marie Claire!
He posed in a black trench coat, black suit, and black sweater, exuding his mysterious and serious side. His hair is longer than before, which makes him radiate deep and mature vibes.
In the interview that followed the photo shoot, Ong Seong Wu talked about his upcoming Kakao TV drama “How About a Cup of Coffee?” (literal translation).
Based on a manhwa (Korean comic) by Heo Young Man, “How About a Cup of Coffee?” is about a young man named Kang Go Bi (Ong Seong Wu), whose passion for coffee leads him to become a rookie barista at a coffee shop owned by Park Seok (Park Ho San). This emotional human drama shows what Kang Go Bi learns about coffee and people through his work and tells the various stories of their neighborhood coffee shop customers.
Ong Seong Wu shared his thoughts about his character Kang Go Bi, saying, “He is a person you can learn a lot from. More than anything, he’s someone who keeps bumping [into obstacles]. Even if he does, he acts first. Rather than being discouraged by the fear of failure, he fails again and again without calculation. While acting as someone who failed repeatedly but eventually succeeded, I felt like I wanted to learn from him.”
Ong Seong Wu also talked about how the drama will give strength to the viewers. He remarked, “The warm story has the power to convey a message in a positive way. It’s my favorite story because it gives healthy energy and nourishes the eyes of the mind.”
“How About a Cup of Coffee?” premieres on October 24 and will air a total of 12 25-minute episodes every Thursday and Sunday at 5 p.m. KST through KakaoTV.
