BTS has received two more platinum titles in Japan!

BTS’s “Permission to Dance” and “DNA” were included in the list of works certified to be platinum (dated September 2021) announced by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) on October 25.

Both “Permission to Dance” and “DNA” exceeded a total of 100 million streams, earning them the platinum title. “Permission to Dance” was released on July 9 and is a bright and song that exclaims, “We don’t need permission to dance.” BTS’s “DNA” was released in September 2017 as the title track for their album “Love Yourself: Her” and is an EDM pop genre track with lyrics that express a young and bold love.

According to the RIAJ’s certification thresholds, songs are certified silver once they reach 30 million streams, gold at 50 million streams, platinum at 100 million streams, and diamond at 500 million streams. The certified songs are announced monthly through their official website.

Earlier this year, BTS’s CD version of “Butter” was certified platinum (dated July 2021) in Japan for having over 250,000 units shipped.

Congratulations to BTS on their newest achievement!
