WEi's Kim Yo Han And Park In Hwan Show Off Heartwarming Chemistry In "School 2021"

KBS 2TV’s “School 2021” has shared a sneak peek of WEi’s Kim Yo Han and Park In Hwan in character!

The eighth installment in KBS’s popular “School” drama series, “School 2021” is a new drama about high school students choosing to follow their dreams instead of just preparing for college entrance exams. The coming-of-age tale will follow the growth, friendships, and romances of 18-year-olds facing an uncertain future.

WEi’s Kim Yo Han will star in the drama as Gong Ki Joon, a former Taekwondo athlete who must give up on his dream due to an injury, and Cho Yi Hyun will play his first love Jin Ji Won, who is determined to achieve her dream of becoming a carpenter.

Meanwhile, veteran actor Park In Hwan will be playing Gong Ki Joon’s warmhearted grandfather Gong Young Soo, who lives alone with him and has been raising him on his own.

In newly released stills from the upcoming drama, Gong Young Soo wears an unhappy expression as he packs up his tools in order to vacate his woodworking shop. At the same time, Gong Ki Joon heads home with a mature, stoic expression, valiantly hiding his own feelings out of consideration for Gong Young Soo.

The producers of “School 2021” commented, “To Gong Ki Joon, Gong Young Soo is only the hill in his life that he can lean on, as well as a giving tree that unsparingly gives him everything. Additionally, Gong Young Soo cheers Gong Ki Joon up with his wise words and also helps him come to new realizations [about life]. Please look forward to the heartwarming chemistry between Gong Young Soo, who is the model of a good adult, and his grandson Gong Ki Joon, who grew up quickly.”

“School 2021” premieres on November 17 at 9:30 p.m. KST and will be available with subtitles on Viki.
