Update: Melon Music Awards 2021 Announces Final Lineup

The Melon Music Awards 2021 (MMA 2021) has revealed its full lineup of performers!

In addition to the previously announced IU, Heize, Lee Mujin, and Lim Young Woong, also performing at the event are MSG Wannabe (M.O.M) from “How Do You Play?” TXT, THE BOYZ, ENHYPEN, Brave Girls, and STAYC.

Ahead of the main event, a pre-show event titled “MMA The Record” will take place for an hour at 6 p.m. Announcer Park Sun Young and comedian Lee Yong Jin will review this year’s Melon chart, announce the Top 10 awards, predict winners of other categories, and tease some of the performances.

MMA 2021 will be streamed live on 1theK’s YouTube channel starting at 6 p.m. KST on December 4.

Three more artists have been announced for the Melon Music Awards 2021 lineup!

Heize, Lee Mujin, and Lim Young Woong will perform at the main event of the Melon Music Awards 2021, along with IU, who is performing her new single “strawberry moon” for the first time.

Heize, Lee Mujin, and Lim Young Woong are artists who are known for their strong performance on the music charts. Lee Mujin rose to fame through the JTBC audition program “Sing Again” and his song “Traffic Light” was one of the hit songs of 2021. This will be his first time at the Melon Music Awards. Heize is known for her trendy musical style and unique vocal tone, and charted high with her mini album “HAPPEN” this year. Popular trot singer Lim Young Woong charted high in 2021 with songs like “My Starry Love” and “Love Always Run Away,” his OST from the drama “Young Lady and Gentleman.”‘

All three artists are also nominated in various categories at the Melon Music Awards 2021, including Artist of the Year and the Top 10.

IU will be performing at the Melon Music Awards (MMA) for the first time in four years!

In 2017, IU won Best Album of the Year, Best Song Writer Award, and Top 10 Artists at Melon Music Awards 2017 after releasing “Palette” and “A Flower Bookmark 2” that same year. She also touched fans through her performance of “Dear Name” with a choir consisting of around 60 people who dream of becoming musicians.

For this year’s MMA, IU will be giving a performance with the theme of “a door connecting the end of her 20s with the beginning of her 30s.” She will be performing her new song “strawberry moon” for the first time through a completely live eight-member band version.

A source from Melon commented, “The entire story will fit the story of artist IU, so it’ll feel as if you’ve come to an IU concert.”
