JTBC’s upcoming drama “The One and Only” shared a new teaser!

“The One and Only” is an emotional romance drama about three terminally ill women who meet at a hospice. They decide that before they die, they want to take down one bad guy before they go – but in their attempt to take down just one person, they wind up meeting the most valuable person of their lives.

The teaser begins with Pyo In Sook (Ahn Eun Jin), Kang Se Yeon (Kang Ye Won) and Sung Mi Do (Red Velvet’s Joy) visiting the beach. The three women smile brightly as they soak in the warm sunlight and take in the breathtaking view of the sparkling sea. As a famous influencer, Sung Mi Do captures every moment on camera. Through her camera lens, Pyo In Sook and Kang Se Yeon appear to be enjoying the moment to the fullest.

Although it seems unexpected that three people with different backgrounds, personalities, and occupations would travel together, Pyo In Sook narrates, “We never had a ‘place’ once, we never became a ‘person,’ and as beings who have never been ‘us,’ we finally became ‘us’ in the face of death.” Like the burnt-out firework stick shown at the end of the teaser, all three women are aware of their terminal condition. As they connect with each other and make the best of their remaining time, they meet one very special person along the way.

The production team shared, “This coming December 20, the miraculous journey of three women linked by the same fate will begin. Please share this very special moment together as In Sook, Se Yeon, and Mi Do, who have met at the end of their lives, become ‘us’ through a series of events.”

“The One and Only” will premiere on December 20 at 11 p.m. KST. Watch the full teaser below!
