Jessi On What It Means To Her To Be “Strong,” How She Deals With Tough Times, And More
1st Look magazine has shared gorgeous photos of Jessi!
Although it was her first photo shoot in awhile, Jessi showed off her charisma and charm as she naturally adapted to different concepts for the photos.
In the accompanying interview, Jessi revealed, “I barely have any days off. I’m the type that isn’t good at resting. When I rest, I begin to have too many thoughts. I’m a workaholic who enjoys doing a lot of work. Working while others are sleeping makes me feel proud.”
With her latest track “Cold Blooded,” Jessi once again showed off her charisma as everyone’s favorite “strong older sister.” Regarding this image of hers, Jessi commented, “The ‘strong older sister’ that I think of says what she wants to say while maintaining boundaries and reading the room, and is someone who can get back up after making a mistake or falling over. I fall over a lot too. I get screwed and make mistakes. However, you have to learn something from that and get back up to really be a strong person.”
Jessi also discussed how she overcomes hard times, sharing, “Since I lived alone from a young age, I became the type of person who can’t easily talk about their feelings. When I’m having a hard time, I bawl. I have an honest personality where I cry when I want to cry, laugh when I want to laugh, and get mad when I want to get mad.”
She continued, “Although I’m a perfectionist when making music, I’m tolerant of everything other than that. Even if I were to eat kimbap or hamburgers every day, I wouldn’t have any complaints. In terms of music, other than hip hop, I listen to a lot of peaceful stuff. At home, I don’t even turn the TV on and just sit quietly and calmly.”
Regarding her interview show “Showterview,” Jessi explained, “If my guest is embarrassed, not in a good mood, scared, or shy, I recognize that and ask questions appropriate for that. Even if I’m not the best MC, if my guests are always happy and enjoying themselves, I’m satisfied with that. After we finish filming, we become friends.”
