"Now We Are Breaking Up" Ratings Rise As "The Red Sleeve" Hits Another All-Time High
The battle for weekend drama ratings remains as fierce as ever!
On November 27, MBC’s “The Red Sleeve” continued its streak of gaining more and more viewers with each new episode. According to Nielsen Korea, the historical romance drama scored an average nationwide rating of 9.4 percent for its sixth episode, achieving its highest viewership ratings to date and taking first place in its time slot across all channels.
Despite facing stiff competition from “The Red Sleeve,” which airs in the same time slot, SBS’s “Now We Are Breaking Up” still managed to see a rise in its own viewership: the latest episode of the romance drama scored an average nationwide rating of 7.6 percent. “Now We Are Breaking Up” was also the most-watched miniseries of the night among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, with whom it earned an average rating of 3.2 percent.
Over on cable, tvN’s “Jirisan” took first place in its time slot across all cable channels with an average nationwide rating of 7.6 percent. The mystery drama also took first place in its time slot across all channels—including public broadcast networks—among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, with whom it scored a nationwide average of 3.4 percent.
Meanwhile, tvN’s “Happiness” remained first place in its own time slot across all cable channels with an average nationwide rating of 3.3 percent. The apocalyptic thriller also held onto its spot at first place in its time slot among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, with whom it scored a nationwide average of 1.9 percent.
Finally, OCN’s “Chimera” dipped to an average nationwide rating of 1.1 percent for the night, while KBS 2TV’s “Young Lady and Gentleman” remained the most-watched program of Saturday with an average nationwide rating of 28.5 percent.
