Watch: Choi Woo Shik And Kim Da Mi Are Brought Back Together By Fate In

“Our Beloved Summer” has released a four-minute video highlighting what will take place in the drama.

“Our Beloved Summer” is a romantic comedy about a couple that broke up on a bad note, but the documentary they filmed 10 years ago in high school suddenly gains popularity, and they’re forced to be in front of the camera together once more.

The highlight video depicts Choi Woong (Choi Woo Shik) and Gook Yeon Soo (Kim Da Mi) reuniting, while Kim Ji Woong (Kim Sung Cheol) and NJ (Noh Jung Ui) influence their relationship. It starts with Choi Woong, who has the lowest grades in the entire school, and Gook Yeon Soo, the school’s top student, being filmed for an interview. They picture themselves in 10 years, with Choi Woong saying, “I hope I’ll be living peacefully without doing anything,” and Gook Yeon Soo confidently stating, “Well, I’ll definitely be doing a good job at whatever it is I’m doing. I’ll probably always be taking the lead and actively leading my life.” But as time passes, they end up living the exact opposite lives of what they described.

Years later, 29-year-old Gook Yeon Soo is an ordinary office worker who struggles to make a living. To make her promotion project a success, she decides to speak to the famous illustrator Go Oh about a potential collaboration, not knowing that Go Oh is in fact her ex-boyfriend Choi Woong. After a moment of shock when the two reunite at Choi Woong’s doorstep, he invites her in. She calmly tries to suggest the collaboration, but Choi Woong says “no” in the blink of an eye, which prompts an angry reaction from Gook Yeon Soo.

Having reunited five years after their breakup, they can’t help but remember their relationship that once burned with passion but came to a cold end. Choi Woong narrates, “I think Gook Yeon Soo enjoys it when I’m in pain. When I thought I was the happiest…” and the video shows Gook Yeon Soo turning away as she says, “You’re the only thing I can throw away.” Funnily enough, Choi Woong and Gook Yeon Soo keep running into each other by coincidence after their initial reunion.

The top idol NJ takes interest in Choi Woong and says to him, “Nothing brings me the joy of life these days. But when I look at buildings, how should I say it, it’s like my heart feels refreshed. That’s how it feels when I look at your illustrations too.” She desperately waits for him to contact her and gets frustrated when he only updates his Instagram.

Meanwhile, documentary producer Kim Ji Woong is told by his boss to recreate the documentary he filmed 10 years ago. Gook Yeon Soo narrates, “The reason you agreed to our project, could it be…” and Choi Woong says, “I want to film the documentary again. With you.” As Kim Ji Woong films the documentary, he notices that there is a strange tension between the pair. He tells Choi Woong, “It’s more confusing the more I film you. I mean the way you look at Gook Yeon Soo.” Choi Woong replies, “You’re showing too much interest all of a sudden,” which makes Kim Ji Woong say, “Well, it’s not all of a sudden.”

Like the text on the screen that reads, “We are once again recording our time that has gotten more immature and more sticky,” the two roast each other while also falling deeper into one another. As Choi Woong says, “It’s so clear, even though its just a past memory,” he shows that he hasn’t found closure since their relationship ended. Kim Ji Woong tells him, “I can tell it’s because of your lingering feelings.”

In the final clip, Choi Woong puts an umbrella over Gook Yeon Soo’s head as she says, “It’s me again?” and he responds, “It’s tiresome, but it’s you again.”
