Hyeri Shows Off Her Love Of Food And High-Energy Variety Skills On

On the December 12 episode of KBS’s “2 Days & 1 Night Season 4,” Girl’s Day’s Hyeri appeared as a guest!

Before the cast set off on their Mokpo foodie adventure, Hyeri was announced as one of the guests. Her high energy flustered some of the members who hadn’t met her before, but Moon Se Yoon, who used to work with her on tvN’s “Amazing Saturday,” said, “Let’s match our energies a little, shall we?” Hyeri said, “This is my first time on ‘2 Days & 1 Night in my whole life.” Kim Jong Min observed, “It’s like we invited a playful little kid.”

Moon Se Yoon shared that Hyeri was really good at eating and said, “She eats so refreshingly and happily that it stimulates your appetite.” Moon Se Yoon asked Ravi if he was close with Hyeri and he said, “We’re friends. You might not know this, but there’s a ‘Hyeri’ line in the entertainment industry.” Asked who were the members of the “Hye” line, Hyeri said, “It’s just Ravi and Hanhae. It’s a cozy line.” Asked to pick teams, Hyeri picked Moon Se Yoon.

The cast and guest’s first stop was to eat jjolboktang (small puffer fish stew), a Mokpo delicacy. The production staff said that only one team could eat, and Hyeri asked, “I’m curious, but what do the other teams do? Do they just watch?” The production staff gave Hyeri the chance to try just one ladle of the soup, and she ended up filming a one-spoon mukbang (eating broadcast). Ravi asked, “What does it taste like? Why aren’t you explaining? When we do the taste test, we share how it tastes. I’m going crazy because you’re not saying anything.”

Hyeri said, “Wow. The taste is like, it’s very savory and rich. It would be great with seokbakji [kimchi made from large pieces of radish].” She added, “If it doesn’t taste good, I don’t eat it. I say right away if it doesn’t taste good. I told the writers that they should only prepare the best food.”

Along with Hyeri, the cast played various games like peeling layers off the balloon, where Hyeri got extremely competitive despite the cast members trying to advise her on this and that. She also played the “omegi tteok” game, which is a signature “2 Days & 1 Night Season 4” game, and later they did a kkakdugi jegichagi (hacky sack).
