Rain And Sung Dong Il Are An Unlikely Duo In Upcoming Fantasy Drama "Ghost Doctor"

tvN’s upcoming drama “Ghost Doctor” released new stills of Rain and Sung Dong Il!

Helmed by “Heirs” director Boo Sung Chul, “Ghost Doctor” is a fantasy medical drama about two doctors who could not be more different in terms of their backgrounds, skills, or personalities but who end up combining bodies and spirits.

Rain will star as genius thoracic surgeon Cha Young Min, while Kim Bum will play silver-spoon resident Go Seung Tak. Apink‘s Son Naeun will play emergency room intern Oh Soo Jung, who believes in supernatural phenomena and miracles despite studying medicine, and Uee will play neurosurgeon Jang Se Jin, who happens to be Cha Young Min’s ex-girlfriend.

Cha Young Min is a doctor who believes that only skills determine a doctor’s worth, and he’s a cold figure who turns away patients if there seems to be no medical hope of saving them. Sung Dong Il plays Tes, the hospital’s senior ghost who has been at the hospital for a long time. He’s a dead ghost who meddles lightly and takes care of the coma ghosts. Despite being from two completely different worlds, Cha Young Min and Tes become intertwined due to an unexpected situation and eventually develop an interesting relationship.

The newly released stills depict Cha Young Min and Tes amidst an unusual atmosphere. Cha Young Min’s eyes open wide with surprise as he looks at Tes, who also stares back at him with a strange gaze, making viewers wonder about how they’ve come to be together.

Another image captures Tes explaining something in detail to Cha Young Min. However, Cha Young Min appears to be on edge. Already, viewers are looking forward to the chemistry between these two characters, who are somewhat similar in their cold but caring natures.

The production team shared, “Cha Young Min and Tes, whose only commonality is the hospital, will come to face each other due to an unexpected situation. Please check through ‘Ghost Doctor’ to see for what reason the two people living in completely different worlds of the living and dead meet and begin their special hospital life together. Also, please look forward to the humorous chemistry between Rain and Sung Dong Il as they show new chemistry every time they meet.”
