Yoo Young Jae Cast In Drama In His First Leading Role

B.A.P’s Yoo Young Jae has been cast in his first leading role!

On December 20, it was reported that Yoo Young Jae had been cast in the upcoming drama “Chun Jeong Ji Ran” (literal title). Based on a BL (boys’ love) webtoon, it is about the romance between three young men that occurs when one man dresses up as a woman and gets married in order to escape his social status as a slave.

Yoo Young Jae has been cast as Jin Geum Sung, an earnest and diligent scholar who is most at home among his books. He has clean-cut looks and an upright character, but his aloofness toward other people earn him the nickname “the cold and handsome man” in his village. He loves only his books and the martial arts, so when he’s told one day that he must marry the third daughter of the Choi family, it hits him like a bolt from the blue.

Yoo Young Jae previously appeared in the historical drama “Mr. Queen” as Kim Hwan. He said, “I will be greeting viewers as Jin Geum Sung, whose serious personality and diverse talents set him apart from the playful and clumsy Kim Hwan.”

“Chun Jeong Ji Ran” will premiere sometime in the first half of 2022 through the streaming service WATCHA.
