Kim Nam Gil, Jin Sun Kyu, And Kim So Jin Transform Into People Who Are Passionate About Solving Criminal Cases In New Drama

SBS’s new Friday-Saturday drama “Through the Darkness” has shared a new glimpse of its three lead characters!

“Through the Darkness” is about the first criminal profiler in Korea who looked into the hearts of serial killers at a time when random, motiveless murders were on the rise.

On December 29, the drama shared new stills of Kim Nam Gil, Jin Sun Kyu, and Kim So Jin.

First off, Kim Nam Gil will play the profiler Song Ha Young of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s Scientific Investigation of Criminal Behavior Analysis team. Although Song Ha Young appears to lack emotions, he’s a figure who reads more deeply into humans than anyone else. Kim Nam Gil’s role requires a high level of concentration because he has to portray his character’s psychology without revealing his emotions. The actor flawlessly immersed into Song Ha Young with his veteran acting skills and showed off the details about his character with just his powerful gaze.

Jin Sun Kyu will turn into Gook Young Soo, the team leader of the Criminal Behavior Analysis team. He recognized the need to analyze criminal behavior, and after a long period of planning, he created the Criminal Behavior Analysis team. Gook Young Soo is both friendly and sharp. He has a bright appearance, but he exudes powerful energy once he dives into professional mode. Jin Sun Kyu’s impressive acting skills will make the drama even more intriguing.

Kim So Jin will star as Yoon Tae Goo, the team leader of the Mobile Investigation Unit at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. Yoon Tae Goo uses her animal-like instincts to perceive cases, and she’s known as a legend in the world of handling violent crimes. Kim So Jin will perfectly depict Yoon Tae Goo’s fierce charisma as she hunts down criminals. Her solid acting skills has turned “Through the Darkness” into a more cinematic drama.

“Through the Darkness” will premiere after the end of “Now We Are Breaking Up” on January 14, 2022 at 10 p.m. KST.
