TXT, TWICE, THE BOYZ, BTS, aespa, MONSTA X, And N.Flying Earn Platinum Certifications From Gaon
Gaon Chart has announced its latest batch of official certifications!
In 2018, the Korea Music Content Industry Association implemented a new certification system for album sales, song downloads, and online streaming. Starting with music released on or after January 1, 2018, Gaon Chart now certifies albums platinum once they reach 250,000 sales, while songs receive a platinum certification at 100 million streams or 2.5 million downloads.
On January 6, Gaon Chart announced that TXT’s repackaged album “The Chaos Chapter: FIGHT OR ESCAPE” had received an official triple platinum certification after selling over 750,000 copies.
Meanwhile, both TWICE’s latest studio album “Formula of Love: O+T=<3” and THE BOYZ’s single album “MAVERICK” were certified double platinum after selling over 500,000 copies each.
MONSTA X’s latest mini album “No Limit” also earned an official platinum certification after selling over 250,000 copies.
In the streaming category, both aespa’s “Next Level” and BTS’s remix of Jawsh 685 and Jason Derulo’s “Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat)” were certified platinum after surpassing 100 million streams each.
Finally, N.Flying’s “Rooftop” earned a platinum certification in the download category after reaching 2.5 million downloads.
