WEi Halts All Activities After Kim Dong Han, Yoo Yong Ha, And Kang Seok Hwa Test Positive For COVID-19

WEi’s Kim Dong Han, Yoo Yong Ha, and Kang Seok Hwa have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

On January 25, OUI Entertainment officially announced that the three WEi members had all tested positive for COVID-19, while their bandmates Jang Dae Hyeon, Kim Yo Han, and Kim Jun Seo were still waiting for their test results.

Both Kim Yo Han and Kim Jun Seo were previously diagnosed with COVID-19 in November of last year, while Jang Dae Hyeon was diagnosed with the virus back in December.

OUI Entertainment’s full statement is as follows:

Hello.

This is OUI Entertainment.

We are informing you that our artists WEi’s Kim Dong Han, Yoo Yong Ha, and Kang Seok Hwa have tested positive for COVID-19 today (January 25).

On January 24, Kim Dong Han exhibited symptoms that suggested he had COVID-19, so all of the WEi members underwent PCR testing this morning (January 25), and [three of] their results came back positive this afternoon.

Therefore, all of the WEi members (Jang Dae Hyeon, Kim Dong Han, Yoo Yong Hak, Kim Yo Han, Kang Seok Hwa, and Kim Jun Seo) immediately halted all scheduled activities, and they went into self-quarantine and took all necessary measures according to the instructions and guidelines of government health authorities.

Jang Dae Hyeon, Kim Yo Han, and Kim Jun Seo are still waiting for their PCR test results, and we will inform you of their results as soon as we receive them.

Furthermore, in regards to “Double Trouble,” in which Kim Dong Han is currently appearing, Kim Dong Han used a self-test kit and tested negative on January 24 before filming for the show, so he participated in the scheduled filming. However, as soon as we learned of his [PCR] test results, we immediately informed the broadcast station.

As there may be changes to WEi’s future schedule according to the situation, we ask for your generous understanding, and we deeply apologize once again for giving the fans and other people cause for concern.

We will take all necessary measures according to the guidelines of government health authorities, and we will do our utmost to ensure Kim Dong Han, Yoo Yong Ha, and Kang Seok Hwa’s speedy recovery, as well as the health and safety of our artists.
