Spoilers

At the start of the episode, Choi Bool Am appeared with Choi Myung Bin while singing “Life Itself Will Let You Know,” Choi Bool Am’s duet with Jung Yeo Jin. Choi Bool Am, who is a veteran actor, said, “I often watch ‘Immortal Songs.’ My wife always watches it. It’s on Saturday afternoons, so if I’m having drinks with someone, I sometimes miss it.”

Performers for this two-part special included Lee Chi Hyun and Choi Sung Soo, Nam Sang Il and Ahn Ye Eun, Jung Dong Ha, Ali, Hwang Chi Yeol, Jung Da KYung, ONEUS, KARDI, and Nam Seung Min.

Hwang Chi Yeol went first and said, “It’s an honor to be able to open the Lunar New Year special.” He sang Tae Jin Ah’s “Ok Kyung I,” and showed a flamboyant performance in homage to Michael Jackson. Hwang Chi Yeol went on to win the next three rounds against Lee Chi Hyun and Choi Sung Soo, Nam Seung Min, and Jung Da Kyung.

ONEUS performed last for Part 1 of the Choi Bool Am special, covering LEENALCHI’s crossover hit “Tiger Is Coming.” The group also combined the music for “Tiger Is Coming” with the theme song from the drama “Chief Inspector,” which starred Choi Bool Am and aired from 1971 to 1984. Their large-scale performance had a storyline like a performance of a play along with traditional singers, instruments, dancers, and more.

Choi Bool Am stood up and started dancing to the performance, and Choi Sung Soo commented, “I think that this will get 100 million views.” “Immortal Songs” MC Lee Chan Won declared, “If ONEUS doesn’t win this round, then I’ll buy 365 cups of coffee for everyone here.” ONEUS did win the round, beating Hwang Chi Yeol and taking the final win for Part 1 of the special.
