Son Ye Jin, Jeon Mi Do, And Kim Ji Hyun Talk About Their "Thirty-Nine" Characters' MBTI Types, Messages To Each Other, And More

In a new video released by JTBC, Son Ye Jin, Kim Ji Hyun, and Jeon Mi Do answered questions as their characters from the upcoming show, “Thirty-Nine!”

“Thirty-Nine” is about three friends who met in their second year of high school and are now on the verge of turning 40. The drama will tell the beautiful and emotional everyday stories of three 39-year-old women who encounter unforeseen circumstances in their lives.

Son Ye Jin will play Cha Mi Jo, the head dermatologist of a clinic in Gangnam. Jeon Mi Do will take the role of Jung Chan Young, an acting teacher who previously dreamed of becoming an actress, and Kim Ji Hyun will star as Jang Joo Hee, a manager of a cosmetics department store.

The three first stated their characters’ names and their own Instagram handles before moving on to talk about their MBTI types. Jang Joo Hee (Kim Ji Hyun) first said, “It was ESFP, but today it changed to ISFP.” Cha Mi Jo (Son Ye Jin) admitted she didn’t know her type before laughing and saying, “I can’t remember.” Jung Chan Young (Jeon Mi Do) spelled out the word “SEXY” before she and the room broke out into laughter.

When asked about which place they want to visit most, each gave different answers. Jang Joo Hee said she wanted to go to her hometown in Ulsan. Cha Mi Do hummed while thinking before saying, “It’s hard to pick just one but Hawaii!” Jung Chan Young also sighed out as she thought about it. She then said, “New York?” hesitantly before adding, “I want to go see a performance.”

Then they each were asked to say some words to their friends. Cha Mi Jo started off first by saying, “Chan Young and Joo Hee, my friends who are in a way closer than my family. Thank you for being by my side and I’ll love you forever,” before giggling and smiling sweetly. Jung Chan Young said, “I don’t have any exact words to say… haha. What’s there to say? We know our friendship.” She flashed a heart symbol quickly with her fingers. Jang Joo Hee smiled and said, “Let’s be healthy!”

Finally, they were asked to say what kind of drama “Thirty-Nine” is to them. They answered not as their characters but as themselves. Jeon Mi Do began by saying, “It’s a drama that tells you that even at 39, you can meet friends.” Son Ye Jin followed by saying, “I was 39 years old when I filmed this drama, so to me I think this is a drama that is really like fate.” Kim Ji Hyun said, “It’s a present that made me excited during the age of 39.”

The actresses gave one last message to the fans as themselves. Jeon Mi Do said, “Please look forward to it a lot and please look for ‘Thirty-Nine!’ Thank you!” Kim Ji Hyun said, “Please love ‘Thirty-Nine’ a lot. Thank you!” Son Ye Jin said, “Soon, ‘Thirty-Nine’ will go to meet you! Please look forward to it a lot and please watch it. Be healthy!”

The first episode of “Thirty-Nine” will air on February 16 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
