Kim Tae Ri And Nam Joo Hyuk Enjoy A Playful And Romantic Moment In “Twenty Five, Twenty One”
Set in 1998, “Twenty Five, Twenty One” tells the story of Baek Yi Jin (Nam Joo Hyuk) and Na Hee Do (Kim Tae Ri), who first meet when they are 22 and 18 years old and fall in love when they meet again at age 25 and 21.
In the drama, both characters suffer from the IMF financial crisis in South Korea in 1997. Na Hee Do is a passionate fencing athlete whose high school team is disbanded due to the crisis, while Baek Yi Jin is the eldest child of a family that was torn apart due to the financial crisis.
The newly released stills capture the duo enjoying a refreshing, romantic moment. Na Hee Do playfully turns the faucet and causes the water to sprout up like a fountain. The water suddenly hits Baek Yi Jin, who was calmly watching Na Hee Do, and he becomes drenched from head to toe. Na Hee Do laughs brightly as the water droplets scatter everywhere. Then the playful mood changes into a tender one as the two characters watch the beautiful night sky. Baek Yi Jin gazes fondly at Na Hee Do, creating a comfortable yet romantic atmosphere between them.
Kim Tae Ri and Nam Joo Hyuk’s teamwork shined even more in this scene. Without any signs from the staff members, the two had a playful yet realistic water fight, and they created a vivid scene with their passionate performances. Moreover, the two burst into laughter while monitoring their acting.
The production company Hwa&Dam Pictures stated, “Kim Tae Ri and Nam Joo Hyuk are fully immersed in their characters and realistically depicting pure youth. Please look forward to [the acting of] Kim Tae Ri and Nam Joo Hyuk, who emit ‘extreme youth chemistry’ with sparkling water-like energy that are beyond your expectations.”
tvN’s “Twenty Five, Twenty One” premieres on February 12 at 9:10 p.m. KST.
