AB6IX's Park Woo Jin Confirmed To Have COVID-19

AB6IX’s Park Woo Jin has officially been diagnosed with COVID-19.

On February 15, Brand New Music revealed that all of the AB6IX members and their staff had used self-test kits for COVID-19 after Park Woo Jin began feeling unwell earlier that morning. Park Woo Jin’s self-test result was positive, while the other members and their staff all tested negative using the self-test kits.

As a result, all of AB6IX and their staff underwent PCR tests for COVID-19 and went into self-quarantine as a precautionary measure, and on February 16, Brand New Music announced that Park Woo Jin’s test results had come back positive.

The agency’s full statement is as follows:

Hello, this is Brand New Music.

The PCR test that AB6IX member Park Woo Jin underwent on February 15 came back positive for COVID-19 this morning.

Park Woo Jin previously received three doses of the vaccine, and he does not currently have any symptoms aside from a mild sore throat. In accordance with the guidelines of government health authorities, he will self-isolate at home and take time to rest while being treated.

Additionally, [AB6IX] members Jeon Woong, Kim Dong Hyun, Lee Dae Hwi, and their entire staff, who underwent PCR testing yesterday (February 15), have all tested negative, and they do not have any particular symptoms at the moment. Just in case, the members who have tested negative will continually check the state of their health by repeatedly using self-test kits.

In terms of [AB6IX’s] future schedule, we plan to follow the guidelines of government health authorities, and we will make announcements on the official fan cafe regarding changes [to the schedule].

Our agency considers the health and recovery of our artist our top priority, and we will actively comply with the requests and disease control guidelines of government health authorities.
