The main cast of “Moonshine” has shared their closing comments following the drama’s conclusion!
KBS 2TV’s “Moonshine” is set in the Joseon era during the time when prohibition laws were at their strongest. The series tells the love story of Kang Ro Seo (Girl’s Day’s Hyeri), a struggling aristocrat who starts illegally making alcohol in order to support her family, and Joseon’s greatest inspector Nam Young (Yoo Seung Ho), who is known for living a very principled life. The two also get tangled with alcoholic crown prince Lee Pyo (Byun Woo Seok), and Han Ae Jin (Kang Mina), the beloved only daughter of a high-ranking noble family.
“Moonshine” aired its finale on February 22 and the main cast of Yoo Seung Ho, Hyeri, Byun Woo Seok, and Kang Mina shared their final comments as they bid farewell to the show.
Yoo Seung Ho shared, “I sincerely thank you for loving ‘Moonshine’ all this time. Although Nam Young was very lacking, thank you so much for supporting him. I hope this remains as a beautiful project and role to my fans. Lastly, I want to tell my fellow actors, the director, writer, and staff members that they’ve worked hard.”
Hyeri commented, “This was a time where I gained lots of courage and energy from meeting Ro Seo, who is more bold and intelligent than anyone. I hope viewers will nostalgically remember this project as a friend or family member. I want to convey my thankful heart to the director, staff members, and members of ‘Moonshiners’ and ‘Moonshine Avengers’ for creating this good project with me.”
Byun Woo Seok shared, “I’ve lived as Lee Pyo for about seven months and I really, really loved it and I also experienced a lot. In the future, I plan to keep him in my heart and live on with him. To me, I think this will be remembered as a big happiness. Thank you for giving lots of love to ‘Moonshine’ all this time, and I sincerely thank you for loving Lee Pyo.”
Finally, Kang Mina commented, “Since this was my first time trying a historical drama, I started filming with a lot of worries and concerns. While I feel a bit regretful, I also received a lot of praise and I think I’ve successfully completed a new challenge, so I’m proud. The unique plot of prohibition laws in the Joseon era and the refreshing character of Ae Jin were all such precious experiences and good memories to me. I want to convey my gratitude to viewers for cherishing and supporting ‘Moonshine’ and Ae Jin.”
