Shin Hye Sun Tests Positive For COVID-19 + Halts Filming For Movie With Lee Jun Young

Shin Hye Sun has tested positive for COVID-19.

On February 24, Shin Hye Sun’s agency IOK Company announced the following:

Shin Hye Sun tested positive for COVID-19 on February 23. She has currently halted her scheduled activities, and she is receiving treatment in self-quarantine.

On February 22, Shin Hye Sun received news that there is a confirmed COVID-19 case among the production crew for “Brave Citizen” (literal title), the movie she is currently filming, so she immediately took a test using a self-testing kit and carried out a PCR test. On February 23, she received a positive test, so she immediately began treatment in self-quarantine in keeping with guidelines set by government health authorities.

The only filming Shin Hye Sun has been doing recently is for “Brave Citizen.” Until she is released from quarantine, she will halt filming and focus on treatment. Shin Hye Sun has completed the second dose of her COVID-19 vaccine, so she fortunately has no severe symptoms.

Shin Hye Sun has been filming for “Brave Citizen” since December. Earlier today, it was reported that her co-star Lee Jun Young is also diagnosed with COVID-19.
