Nam Joo Hyuk And Kim Tae Ri Tearfully Hold Hands For 1st Time In “Twenty Five, Twenty One”
Set in 1998, “Twenty Five, Twenty One” is a tvN drama about two young people who fall in love amidst the aftermath of the IMF crisis. Kim Tae Ri stars as Na Hee Do, an aspiring fencer, while Nam Joo Hyuk stars as Baek Yi Jin, whose family was torn apart due to the financial crisis.
Previously on “Twenty Five, Twenty One,” Na Hee Do and Baek Yi Jin grew closer while cheering each other on in their respective endeavors. Na Hee Do managed to make Baek Yi Jin smile after he failed to get a job he’d applied for, teaching him how to “change a tragedy into a comedy.” Meanwhile, Baek Yi Jin encouraged Na Hee Do as she prepared for the chance to become a national athlete, and while offering his support, he confessed his growing feelings for her.
In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming fifth episode, Baek Yi Jin and Na Hee Do hold hands for the first time during an emotional moment. During a conversation in a phone booth, Na Hee Do struggles to hold back tears, while Baek Yi Jin wears a grave expression of concern.
However, the night has more in store than just sorrow: Na Hee Do’s tears are forgotten as she and Baek Yi Jin hold hands for the first time, smiling affectionately at one another amidst the falling snow.
The producers of “Twenty Five, Twenty One” teased, “This is a scene where Kim Tae Ri and Nam Joo Hyuk give each other heartfelt solace and find special comfort in one another. Please tune in to see what unfolds between the two people, who created beautiful chemistry that is like a picture of youth.”
The next episode of “Twenty Five, Twenty One” will air on February 26 at 9:10 p.m. KST.
