SEVENTEEN And BTS Claim 3 Out Of Top 10 Spots On IFPI's Global Album Sales Chart For 2021

SEVENTEEN and BTS made strong showings on the IFPI’s Global Album Sales Chart for 2021!

On March 1 local time, the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI)—a non-profit organization that represents the music recording industry worldwide—revealed its annual rankings of last year’s best-selling albums across global physical sales and digital downloads.

SEVENTEEN achieved the impressive feat of landing two albums in the top 10 for 2021: their ninth mini album “Attacca” charted at No. 3, bested only by Adele’s “30” and ABBA’s “Voyage,” while their eighth mini album “Your Choice” followed at No. 8.

Meanwhile, BTS’s Japanese compilation album “BTS, THE BEST” ranked No. 4 for 2021.

Last week, BTS became the first artist ever to win the IFPI’s Global Recording Artist Award for two years in a row, while SEVENTEEN made the top 10 of the Global Artist Chart for the first time (at No. 9). BTS also landed in the top 10 of the IFPI’s Global Digital Single Chart for 2021 with their smash hit “Butter.”

Congratulations to both SEVENTEEN and BTS!
