Watch: Park Min Young And Song Kang Playfully Practice Hugging While Filming "Forecasting Love And Weather"

A new behind-the-scenes video of “Forecasting Love and Weather” has been released!

“Forecasting Love and Weather” is a romance drama about the work and love lives of people who work at the Korea Meteorological Administration, Korea’s national weather forecast service. Park Min Young stars as the frosty Jin Ha Kyung, who does everything by the book and is fastidious about keeping her personal and professional lives separate, while Song Kang stars as the free-spirited and determined Lee Si Woo, who boasts an impressive IQ of 150 but only cares about the weather.

While practicing the scene where Jin Ha Kyung and Lee Si Woo have an argument in the back room of the office, Park Min Young and Song Kang try to coordinate how he will hug her. The director begins to give notes, saying, “When Si Woo hugs Ha Kyung from the back, shouldn’t he hug her like this?” before wrapping his arms around Song Kang to demonstrate the hug. The crew giggles before Song Kang tries to hug the director from the back a little uncomfortably.

Giving examples, the director says, “If it’s not too bad, try it,” and again, the cast and crew laugh. A crew member teases Song Kang by saying, “Everyone except Si Woo is okay with it.” Song Kang quickly responds, “I like it too,” a little embarrassed. The director continues to tease him playfully, saying, “It’s because it was me.” Song Kang replies bashfully, “No it’s not!” before walking away while fanning himself.

Later, Park Min Young and Song Kang practice the scene where Lee Si Woo tries to approach Jin Ha Kyung, but she says to keep a distance of one meter (approximately three feet) to maintain proper distance at work. They film the scene multiple times, and Song Kang’s smile gets brighter with each take. During the third take, Park Min Young can’t help herself from laughing as Song Kang approaches her quickly. She attempts to stay in character and hides her smile as Song Kang says the next line.

After finishing the take, Song Kang opens the fridge in the room and searches hungrily around for some snacks. He picks up a bag of potato chips and remarks, “Oh, this has two months left before its expiration date,” basically implying he wishes to eat them. However, Song Kang still puts the bag back in its original spot.
