Set in the late 1990s, “Through the Darkness” is a drama based on the story of South Korea’s first criminal profiler. Kim Nam Gil stars as Song Ha Young, a member of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s Criminal Behavior Analysis team, while Jin Sun Kyu plays his friend and colleague Guk Young Soo who originally brought him onto the team. Kim So Jin stars as Yoon Tae Goo, the team leader of the Mobile Investigation Unit at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.

Previously on “Through the Darkness,” another serial killer by the name of Woo Ho Sung (played by Na Chul) made his official appearance as he hunted down vulnerable women at bus stops. Song Ha Young finally returned to the Criminal Behavior Analysis team, and viewers are eager to see if he will be help catch Woo Ho Sung once and for all.

Newly released stills hint what will happen in the final episode. In the photos, detectives Yoon Tae Goo and Nam Il Young (played by Jung Soon Won) are in the middle of a stakeout. They are waiting in the car and keeping a watchful eye out for the culprit. When they spot Woo Ho Sung, they get out of the car and warily approach him. His calm and peaceful expression gives viewers the chills. The last photo shows Yoon Tae Goo and Nam Il Young confronting Woo Ho Sung, raising questions about what kind of conversation will unfold between them.
