KCON 2022 Premiere Announces 1st Lineup

KCON 2022 Premiere has unveiled its first lineup of performing artists!

KCON is a major convention and music festival that celebrates Korean pop culture and entertainment, and it includes concerts featuring performances by popular K-pop artists. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, the convention was held each year in countries such as the United States, France, Australia, Mexico, Japan, Thailand, and more. However, since the summer of 2020, KCON has taken place online as a virtual event under the name “KCON:TACT” instead.

This year, KCON will resume holding in-person conventions in various countries. In what will mark KCON’s first offline concerts in two years, KCON 2022 Premiere will kick off in Seoul from May 7 to 8 before continuing in Tokyo from May 14 to 15 and Chicago from May 20 to 21.

KCON has now revealed that MONSTA X, NMIXX, THE BOYZ, STAYC, Highlight, TO1, NiziU, and the contestants from Mnet’s “Queendom 2“—VIVIZ, LOONA, WJSN, Brave Girls, Kep1er, and Hyolyn—will all be performing at KCON 2022 Premiere in Seoul. Each city will feature a different lineup of performing artists, and the lineups for Tokyo and Chicago will be announced later this month.

Following this special premiere event, this year’s main KCON conventions will take place in Los Angeles and Tokyo later this year. KCON 2022 LA is currently scheduled for August, while KCON 2022 Japan is scheduled for October.

However, fans outside the United States and Japan need not worry: KCON will also be bringing back its digital program “KCON:TACT,” so that fans who cannot attend in person will be able to watch and participate online.

Check out the new Korea lineup video for KCON 2022 Premiere below, and stay tuned for more info!
