Suzy Shares Thoughts On Her Intriguing New Character After Completing Filming For Upcoming Drama

Suzy has finished filming for Coupang Play’s upcoming drama “Anna” (literal title)!

“Anna” recently wrapped up filming on March 23 after six months of filming. The drama depicts the story of Yoo Mi, a woman who tells a small lie and ends up living someone else’s life. Suzy, who has previously impressed with films and dramas including “Architecture 101,” “Ashfall,” “Vagabond,” “Start-Up,” and more, will be playing the leading role of Yoo Mi. Last year, it was confirmed that Jung Eun Chae, Kim Jun Han, and Park Ye Young will also be starring in the drama.

In order to celebrate the completion of filming, the drama released its first stills of Yoo Mi. In the first photo, Yoo Mi listlessly looks out the bus window as if she is tired of life. However, another photo captures her looking completely different as she appears confident and eye-catching in an extravagant outfit, raising questions about her upcoming character.

On her new role, Suzy shared, “Although there were difficult moments while following Yoo Mi’s broad range of emotions, it is a big fortune for me as an actress to have met a character and project like this.” She continued, “I tried my best at every moment, and each moment was a challenge. I really filmed while enjoying myself, so I’m confident that it will be a really meaningful project for myself. I’m grateful to all the staff, and please show lots of interest and love for ‘Anna.'”

Director Lee Joo Young shared, “I sincerely express my gratitude to the actors and staff who did their best until the very end. I will pour my heart into the post-production so that the various emotions and the characters’ stories of ‘Anna’ can touch the viewers’ hearts.”

“Anna” is helmed by director Lee Joo Young of the 2017 film “A Single Rider” starring Lee Byung Hun and Gong Hyo Jin. Camera director Lee Eui Tae, who won Best Cinematography and Lighting for “The Book of Fish” at the 42nd Blue Dragon Film Awards, editing director Kim Jung Hoon, who won Best Editing for “The Book of Fish,” and music director Mowg, who worked on “Masquerade,” “Miss Granny,” and “Deliver Us From Evil,” have also joined forces for the production team.

“Anna” will be released via Coupang Play this summer.
