Jang Hyuk Is A Powerful Yet Lonely Vice-Premier In Upcoming Historical Drama With Lee Joon

Jang Hyuk is amping up excitement with his new role in the new KBS drama “Bloody Heart”!

The upcoming fictional historical drama is about the bloody political romance between Lee Tae (Lee Joon), a king who has to abandon the woman he loves to survive, and Yoo Jung (Kang Han Na), a woman who has to become the queen to survive.

Jang Hyuk plays Park Gye Won, the first vice-premier and the real head of power in Joseon. He has the charisma of a tiger and the intelligence of a scholar. At a young age, he witnessed the tyranny of the king, and he became the head of an organization that successfully dethroned the ruler. As a living symbol of power, everyone obeys him, and he is a “king maker” who resolves to “create a wise and young king with his own hands” so that the foundation of Joseon will not be shaken by tyrants again.

The newly released photos show two sides of Park Gye Won. He looks somewhat lonely in the comfort of his home as watches the snow falling from the sky. However, he overflows with icy charisma in the palace. In one photo, he looks at something with a faraway gaze. His strong yet empty eyes increase curiosity about what he’s thinking, and his two faces that radiate different moods naturally draw admiration from fans.

The drama’s producers shared that Jang Hyuk will portray the complex and subtle emotions of Park Gye Won, who is a king maker with more loyalty towards the country than anyone else. They commented, “His overwhelming expressions and detailed emotional performances are eye-catching. You can look forward to how Jang Hyuk will depict Park Gye Won in ‘Bloody Heart.'”

“Bloody Heart” will air later this year following the conclusion of “Crazy Love.”
