Oh My Girl's YooA Halts Activities 1 Week Into Comeback Due To Aftereffects Of COVID-19

Just one week into Oh My Girl’s comeback, YooA has halted all activities due to health issues.

On April 5, WM Entertainment officially announced that YooA had been suffering from lingering aftereffects of COVID-19—and that because her condition had recently taken a turn for the worse, she would be temporarily sitting out Oh My Girl’s promotions for their new album “Real Love,” which was released last week.

YooA was originally diagnosed with COVID-19 on March 6, and although she was deemed recovered from the virus before the group’s comeback on March 28, it appears that she has unfortunately not yet fully recuperated.

The agency’s full statement is as follows:

Hello, this is WM Entertainment.

We are making an announcement regarding the state of Oh My Girl’s YooA’s health and her future activities.

After being diagnosed with COVID-19 [last month], YooA has recently suffered from aftereffects of the virus, and because her condition has gotten worse, she has expressed that it is difficult for her to continue promotions. Therefore, she is currently getting plenty of rest in order to stabilize her health.

Our agency considers our artists’ health and safety our top priority. Therefore, after careful discussion with the Oh My Girl members, including YooA, it has been decided that she will temporarily be focusing entirely on getting rest and treatment.

We ask for fans’ understanding in giving you cause for concern with this sudden news.

YooA will be focusing on recovering her health, and we will do our utmost to support YooA’s recovery. Thank you.

We hope YooA feels much better very soon!
