Uee Makes Donation To Provide Feminine Hygiene Products For Teens In Need
Uee has made a large donation to be used towards feminine hygiene products to help teenagers in need.
On April 9, Uee’s agency Lucky Company stated that Uee donated 20 million won (approximately $16,300) to the NGO World Vision in celebration of her birthday. The funds are slated to be used to provide feminine hygiene kits, coupons for sanitary undergarments, informational books on feminine hygiene, and other such items to 120 teenagers residing in female youth shelters.
Uee commented, “I wanted to donate to a meaningful cause. I decided upon my donation when I found out that among out-of-home teens, girls end up reducing the number of sanitary pads they use or have no choice but to use other alternatives due to economic difficulties.”
She concluded, “Although the amount may be small, I hope it will be used for a good cause.”
