Ji Chang Wook Welcomes Hwang In Yeop And Choi Sung Eun To A Magical World In "The Sound Of Magic"

Netflix’s “The Sound of Magic” released new stills of the upcoming drama!

“The Sound of Magic” is described as a fantasy music drama about the story that unfolds when the mysterious magician Rieul (Ji Chang Wook) suddenly appears in front of a girl named Yoon Ah Yi (Choi Sung Eun), who has lost her dreams, and her classmate named Na Il Deung (Hwang In Yeop), who is being forced to dream. The drama is based on the webtoon “Annarasumanara” by writer Ha Il Kwon which was serialized on Naver Webtoon in 2010 and adapted into a play.

The newly released stills capture Rieul showcasing magic to Yoon Ah Yi and Na Il Deul. Yoon Ah Yi wants to grow up quickly so that she can support her family in place of her dad, while Na Il Deung has been gradually losing himself as he follows his parents’ dreams over his own. Not knowing what exactly they want for themselves, the two meet the mysterious magician Rieul at an abandoned amusement park and begin to open their eyes to the world.

When the students look suspiciously at Rieul, the magician shows them extravagant magic that makes them forget about reality. The drama will ask the question of what it means to become an adult as the two students gradually mature after entering Rieul’s world.

Director Kim Sung Yoon shared, “I looked for a vibe in which they can forget reality and focus on the space they were in,” raising anticipation for the upcoming magic that will unfold in the story. The actors also took turns praising each other. Choi Sung Eun commented, “Ji Chang Wook is an actor who has the energy of Rieul,” while Hwang In Yeop remarked, “Choi Sung Eun is Yoon Ah Yi herself, and she can bring out the best emotions.” Ji Chang Wook stated, “Hwang In Yeop created synergy after meeting his character and became the charismatic Na Il Deung.”
