NCT’s Taeyong To Reunite With “Street Woman Fighter” Dancers As MC Of New Spin-Off
Mnet’s “Any Body Can Dance” is a new reality program featuring the leaders of the eight dance crews from “Street Woman Fighter” as they teach dance to dance lovers who are incredibly passionate, but not the most skilled. Although the show stems from competition program “Street Woman Fighter,” this spin-off will showcase a different kind of fun.
“Any Body Can Dance” will be hosted by NCT’s Taeyong, who previously worked on “Street Woman Fighter” as a fight judge. Taeyong is well-known for his passion for dancing, as well as his drive to continuously improve upon his performances. Through “Any Body Can Dance,” Taeyong will play the role of “messenger” as he relates to the contestants and helps bring them passion and growth.
Taeyong commented, “It’s an honor to continue my connection to ‘Street Woman Fighter’ with ‘Any Body Can Dance.’ Since it’s my first attempt at being an MC, I’m really nervous, but I want to play the connecting role between the ‘Street Woman Fighter’ leaders and the contestants who are filled with passion for dance. I will try to ensure that viewers can immerse into the program and watch enjoyably.”
“Any Body Can Dance” has received around 2,500 applications, from kindergarteners to those in their 50s, regardless of age and gender. The producers also revealed that among the applicants, there are actors, comedians, and idols who are currently active in the entertainment industry. Other applicants also have a diverse range of careers, including doctors, government officials, researchers, and professors. Additionally, people have applied from all over the world, including United States, Canada, Sweden, Japan, Indonesia, and more.
On April 30, Mnet will hold a street audition in Hongdae and Gangnam for contestants who have passed the first round. Through these auditions, the “Street Woman Fighter” leaders will decide which applicants will appear on the program.
Mnet’s “Any Body Can Dance” will premiere this June!
