Watch: Jin Goo, Ha Do Kwon, Lee Won Geun, And More Say Goodbye To

“A Superior Day” has shared the cast’s farewell comments in a making video from their final filming!

Based on the hit webtoon of the same name, OCN’s “A Superior Day” is a thriller about the 24-hour nightmare of an ordinary man who must save his kidnapped daughter by murdering the serial killer who lives next door. Jin Goo stars as Lee Ho Chul, a firefighter who has only 24 hours to rescue his kidnapped daughter, while Ha Do Kwon plays Bae Tae Jin, a professional hitman who is chasing the elusive serial killer Kwon Si Woo (played by Lee Won Geun).

Jin Goo shares, “Like the title ‘A Superior Day,’ this is a drama that draws out the happenings of one day. However, due to COVID-19, weather, and other unfavorable conditions over a long period of time, filming was postponed a lot and we’ve gone on for five months. I want to say that it was a long and exhausting day, but I also want to say that it was a happy day that made me feel proud, as if I’ve earned results where I achieved something.”

After introducing himself, Ha Do Kwon comments, “We’ve finally wrapped up the final scene for our drama ‘A Superior Day,’ that we’ve carried out for a long time.” Holding up his fake bloodied hand, the actor added, “As you can see, we finished with a bit of a rough last scene, but up until now, I’ve worked on this really great drama enjoyably.”

Lee Won Geun greets viewers and shares, “Today is our last filming and I feel so regretful and sad. I’ve grown that affectionate [for the drama], our set was so good, and I liked all the actors, director, and staff members. There wasn’t a single thing I regretted, but I would very much want to continue with filming for Episodes 9 and 10, so I feel very regretful.”

Jo Yoo Ha, who played Lee Ho Chul’s daughter Lee Soo Ah, shares, “I thought filming for ‘A Superior Day’ would never end and as I’ve grown so affectionate for the actors and staff members, it feels both refreshing and upsetting that I’m now seeing it end.”

When the actors were asked to pick their favorite scenes, Jin Goo answered that all his scenes were memorable. Ultimately, he chose the scene after he rescues his daughter and interrupts Kwon Si Woo’s final project as he states, “Murder is not something superior.”

Ha Do Kwon picked the scene where his character angrily changes out of a bloodied dress shirt. He explains, “Due to the [skin] reveal of that scene, I remember exercising and watching my diet. That was hard, which is why it is most memorable.”

Lee Won Geun chose the scene between Kwon Si Woo and Lee Ho Chul at the movie theater, adding that this was when Kwon Si Woo was able to properly display his true colors.

Jo Yoo Ah comments, “The most memorable scene was obviously the first action scene I ever filmed, where I break the window to escape from Si Woo’s hideout and fall from the third floor. That was the most memorable and the most fun.”

Jin Goo tells his character that he’s proud and that he worked hard, then comments, “I realized how dangerous it is to use the word superior, so I want to say that all fathers around the world are beautiful and incredible.”

Later, Im Hwa Young introduces her character Choi Jung Hye, Lee Ho Chul’s wife. She comments, “To the viewers who watched ‘A Superior Day,’ did you watch our drama enjoyably? Thank you so much for binge-watching Episodes 1 through 8 with us. Thank you for giving lots of love to the drama that the producers, staff members, and actors worked hard to create.”

Finally, the main cast members, along with Song Young Kyu and Park Min Jung, thank viewers for tuning in and sending lots of love to “A Superior Day,” and ask for their continued support of OCN dramas.
