Lee Ga Ryung Discusses Her Character's Changes In "Love (Ft. Marriage And Divorce) 3," Her Real Age, And More

Lee Ga Ryung dished on her recently concluded drama “Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce) 3!

The makjang show is a multi-season drama about three women in their 30s, 40s, and 50s whose lives are upended when they discover their husbands are having an affair. In the series, Lee Ga Ryung played radio DJ Boo Hye Ryung who got remarried to her ex-husband Pan Sa Hyun (Kang Shin Hyo) after being possessed by his late wife Song Won (Lee Min Young).

Concerning the drama’s end, Lee Ga Ryung commented, “I feel more sad than relieved. It really feels like it’s over. In seasons one and two, there was anticipation for season 3, so even though I was sad, I felt like I was waiting, but at the moment, there’s no [news] about season 4, so it feels regrettable.”

The actress revealed that she found out her character was going to get possessed by a spirit only after filming about a third of season 3. She commented, “They didn’t tell me what scene it was, but they told me to carefully watch Song Won’s way of speaking and acting. I tried to copy Lee Min Young sunbae‘s acting by watching her in the first two seasons.”

She added, “We didn’t film [the scenes] in order, so I filmed as Boo Hye Ryung one day and Song Won another day. Without realizing it, I talked like Song Won instead of Boo Hye Ryung. I couldn’t get used to it quickly.”

At the end of the interview, Lee Ga Ryung talked about her age on her profile. The actress, who was known to have been born in 1988, recently corrected her age. She explained, “From the beginning of ‘Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce)’ until now, I’ve been managing my activities alone without an agency. I didn’t have a chance to modify my profile while working by myself, and I was too focused on filming during the three seasons of the drama to look back on other things.”

She continued, “As season 3 ended, I signed with an agency, and this situation led me to tell everyone [about my real age]. Models decrease and increase their age depending on the occasion. My age that was left on the internet went official without me knowing. My profile says I was born in 1988, but I was actually born in 1980, the year of the monkey.”
