Watch: So Ji Sub's Career Takes An Unexpected Nosedive In Intense Teaser For

MBC has shared an intriguing new teaser for its upcoming drama “Doctor Lawyer”!

“Doctor Lawyer” is a new drama about a genius surgeon who becomes a medical malpractice lawyer after losing everything due to a rigged surgery and a prosecutor who loses her only family and lover through that same surgery. Together, they set out to punish those who believe that the importance of a person’s life can be ranked based on their wealth and power.

In what will mark his first drama role in four years, So Ji Sub will be starring as the titular medical malpractice lawyer Han Yi Han who changed careers after a devastating incident in the operating room.

The teaser starts with Goo Jin Ki (Lee Kyung Young) asking Han Yi Han to perform a surgery, saying, “I’ll take responsibility for everything.” Han Yi Han says, “I’ll believe in you,” and he goes forward with the operation. However, things suddenly take a drastic turn, and in the end, Han Yi Han pronounces a person has a died. Han Yi Han goes to prison for some time, and when he’s released, his life has drastically changed.

In addition, he meets Geum Seok Young (Im Soo Hyang), a passionate prosecutor who believes that criminals are rehabilitated not through leniency but through punishment, while she is more eager to declare truly innocent defendants as innocent than even their own lawyers. She roughly grabs Han Yi Han by his collar and threatens him with a broken glass. She vehemently says, “I’ll punish the doctors who don’t pay the price after killing people.”

The clip ends with people looking shocked to see Han Yi Han, and he asks with brimming confidence, “Why are you so surprised? Did you think I’d never show up?”
