Seohyun Dishes On Her New Role In "Jinxed At First," Synchronization With Her Character, And More

Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun shared why she was drawn to her new KBS 2TV drama “Jinxed at First”!

Based on a webtoon of the same name, “Jinxed at First” is a fantasy romance drama about what happens when a poor, unlucky man, who has accepted his unfortunate fate, meets a goddess of fortune, who jumps out into the unknown to undo a curse despite having been hidden away by a chaebol family. Na In Woo will be playing Seodong Market’s fish seller Gong Soo Kwang who has a special jinx, and Seohyun will be playing Seul Bi who has the special ability of seeing the future of the person she touches.

Concerning her character, Seohyun commented, “Seul Bi was forced to live a life completely isolated from the world because of her special ability. However, she never lost her childlike innocence, and she has the courage to go against her fate. I was really grateful to meet Seul Bi, and I enjoyed the process of becoming one with her.”

When asked about her synchronization with Seul Bi, Seohyun remarked, “Whenever I work on a project, I try to maximize my inner self that is most similar to the character’s tendency. Seul Bi and I both see the world in a positive way, and we’re also very curious and try to take challenges.”

Seohyun also answered the question about why she was drawn to “Jinxed at First.” She explained, “The way the two protagonists live against the fate given to each of them touched my heart. I was attracted to the fact that it was a fantasy romance that warmly unfolds human love and romance love, so I wanted to join.”
