Two new dramas got off to promising starts last night!

On June 3, SBS’s “Why Her?” premiered at the top of its time slot. The new mystery romance drama stars Seo Hyun Jin as Oh Soo Jae, a cold-hearted lawyer who has grown empty after only chasing success, and Hwang In Yeop as law student Gong Chan, who would do anything to protect her after her sudden fall from grace.

According to Nielsen Korea, the first episode of “Why Her?” scored an average nationwide rating of 6.0 percent, taking first place in its time slot as the most-watched Friday-Saturday drama of the night. Additionally, “Why Her?” premiered to slightly higher viewership ratings than its predecessor “Again My Life,” the drama that previously occupied its time slot (which premiered to a nationwide average of 5.8 percent).

“Why Her?” was also the most-watched Friday-Saturday drama of the evening among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, with whom it scored an average rating of 2.6 percent.

Meanwhile, MBC’s new drama “Doctor Lawyer”—which airs in the same time slot as “Why Her?”—premiered to an average nationwide rating of 5.2 percent. The show stars So Ji Sub as Han Yi Han, a genius surgeon who becomes a medical malpractice lawyer after losing everything to a rigged surgery, and Im Soo Hyang as Geum Seok Young, a passionate prosecutor who joins him in his quest for justice.

Finally, tvN’s “Sh**ting Stars” saw a slight increase in viewership for an average nationwide rating of 1.3 percent.
