“The Outlaws 2” (“The Roundup”) appears to be on its way to making box office history!

Less than a week after it became only the 20th Korean film in history ever to surpass 10 million moviegoers, the new action movie starring Ma Dong Seok and Son Suk Ku has already hurtled past another impressive milestone.

According to the Korean Film Council, as of June 17, “The Outlaws 2” had recorded a total of 11,027,835 moviegoers—meaning that it took the film just one month since its release on May 18 to hit the 11 million mark.

“The Outlaws 2” is now the first film since the 2019 smash hit “Extreme Job”—which holds the record for the highest-grossing film in Korean box office history—to surpass 11 million moviegoers (and only the 18th Korean film ever to reach the milestone).

Including international films, “The Outlaws 2” has become the 24th top-selling movie ever released in South Korea, overtaking even the 2015 Hollywood blockbuster “Avengers: Age of Ultron” (which ended its run in Korea with a final total of 10,494,499 moviegoers).

Additionally, based on presale tickets for June 18, “The Outlaws 2” is already on track to overtake “Silmido,” the 23rd top-selling film in Korean box office history, before the day is out.

Congratulations to the cast and crew of “The Outlaws 2”!
