Son Hyun Joo, Jang Seung Jo, And More Are Back And Better In Season 2 Poster For "The Good Detective"

Over a year since the announcement of Season 2, “The Good Detective” is finally gearing up for its return!

Last April, JTBC confirmed that “The Good Detective” was set to come back with a second season and that leads Son Hyun Joo and Jang Seung Jo would be reprising their roles.

Starring Son Hyun Joo, Jang Seung Jo, and Lee Elijah, the first season of “The Good Detective” was about the realistic lives of police detectives in their quest to uncover the truth and their conflicts with those who try to conceal it. The drama ended in August 2020 with ratings of 7.469 percent, close to the drama’s personal best of 7.609 percent.

On June 28, JTBC signalled the countdown to “The Good Detective 2” with an exciting poster and commented, “Son Hyun Joo, Jang Seung Jo, and the West Incheon Police’s Violent Crimes Team two will resume their investigation.

After over a year since the initial Season 2 announcement, the investigation team of “The Good Detective” is finally back and better. In the upcoming season, the good detectives of the Violent Crimes Team two will use only the truth to go up against ambitious villains who cross the line.

The new poster features Son Hyun Joo as Kang Do Chang and Jang Seung Jo as Oh Ji Hyuk. They’re also joined by fellow Season 1 cast members Cha Rae Hyung as Kwon Jae Hong, Jung Soon Won as Ji Man Goo, Kim Ji Hoon as Byun Ji Woong, and Kim Myung Joon as Shim Dong Wook. The caption reads, “They have returned even stronger.”

To the fans who have waited so long for a second season, the production team of “The Good Detective 2” shared, “The narrative of Season 1 that showcased the world of real detectives running on their feet will be even stronger in Season 2. That’s how much the Violent Crimes Team 2 plans to go all over the world of evil to catch bad guys until the bottoms of their feet sweat. Additionally, the teamwork between Kang Do Chang, Oh Ji Hyung, and the Violent Crimes Team 2 will become even more incredibly solid. Please also look forward to the amazing chemistry between the good detectives.”

Season 2 of “The Good Detective” wrapped up filming this past May and is currently in post-production. The drama will premiere this July.
